The European Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind Europe's most ground-breaking innovations. The prize awards women from across the EU and countries associated to Horizon Europe, whose disruptive innovations are driving positive change for people and the planet.
The prize is managed by the European Innovation Council, SMEs Executive Agency, and the European Institute for Innovation & Technology, with winners chosen by an independent expert jury. This year, there are nine prizes to be awarded.
There are three categories for prizes: The Women Innovators Prize, The Rising Innovators Prize, and The EIT Women Leadership Award. Each applicant can only apply for one category they are eligible for.
Women who have founded innovative companies in EU or Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply for a prize. Age requirements vary depending on the category.
Applications will be assessed based on three criteria: breakthrough innovation, impact, and inspiration. The innovation should address a need and bring significant benefits. The applicant should also be an inspiring leader and a model for other women and girls.
Applications are open until 27 September 2023 at 17:00 CET.
